0:13.2	This could essentially set the stage for what will happen in 2028 with the Democratic
0:19.1	primary and ultimately for who becomes the next

0:23.1	So here's what's going on.
0:24.8	Former Vice President Kamala Harris said she's not running for governor of California.
0:29.5	And this is hugely important and consequential.
0:32.9	It was assumed Harris is running for California governor.
0:40.7	Gavin Newsom is term limited out. Harris was set to do it. There was reporting that it was a done deal. Every understanding was that
0:46.8	if Harris ran that she had an unobstructed path, certainly to the Democratic nomination,
0:53.0	it's sort of a different kind of primary setup
0:56.6	in California. But the idea being that she had an unobstructed path to the final ballot for governor

1:18.9	tell you up front. I think that if this is her plan, it's a bad idea. And I don't think it's a bad
1:24.8	idea because Harris couldn't do the job. I met her in March of last year.

1:31.5	She's intelligent.
