What's up, Dave? It's a pleasure to speak with you. It's been a while. It has been a while. I got two things I want to talk about. I want to wrap up today's podcast discussing Blake lively and Justin Baldoni, but I want to first talk about Laura Owens and the,

and Clayton Eckerd and the pregnancy scam. And I wanted to preface it by saying,

how far have we come? The first phone call we had was you trying to learn about this case,

you know, thinking I'm the bad

guy and now here we are, seven felony charges for Lower Owens. Could you ever have imagined it

would have gone this far? I mean, I couldn't have imagined any of it, to be honest with you. I thought

I was just something I was going to talk about for like 30 minutes on like some random podcast that

I was doing, but it turned into so much more.

But yeah, we're way past like the initial trying to learn about the case.

I feel like I know enough.

And I've certainly had my own experiences with certain people in the case.

And so here we are.

Yeah, do you feel like what do you think it is about this case that made it more than just covering it the one off?

Was it just unearthing that was it the fact that she seemingly continues to lie about or like, you know, try to hold up her ruse here as having said she's been pregnant, what, four times?

Well, I mean, being a family law practitioner,

Laura Owens, honestly, is not the most shocking thing about this case, to me anyway.

I mean, there's lots of people that go into court and they lie in court

and they try to perpetrate their lies and they never, ever get in trouble for it.

And, you know, there's many reasons for that.

But for me, the shocking aspect of this case was she found an attorney that was willing

and did, in fact, enable her to the point where not only did she get destroyed at trial,
