Today I have my aesthetician Ali Acosta on the podcast. Ali is a licensed esthetician and certified

acne expert who owns North County Skin solutions in Encinitas, California.

I've worked with Allie for a few years now. She is the best. I've done microchanneling with her.

I've done peals with her. She's helped me overhaul my skincare routine. She knows her stuff.

And what I love about what she does is it's not just

about skin. It's also about what you put in your body. So we talk about hormones and diet and all

those other factors that contribute to skin health. I know a lot of people don't know this about me,

but I used to struggle with really bad acne. My skin was like one of my biggest

insecurities for most of my life. And I dealt with that a lot when I was younger, middle school,

all the way, you know, through high school, through college. And it went away for a bit. And then it

came back a couple years ago. And so, you know, I know the journey.

I know how frustrating it is when you're dealing with things with their skin.

And, you know, that's how people see you.

So we both understand the emotional side of that.

Allie and I, we talk a little bit about, you know, our journeys too.

But I wanted to ask her about her journey and then also all of the things

she sees in the clinic, all of her top hacks. And it really does matter when you are seeing an

esthetician if the person is an acne expert in my opinion, because there are a lot of estheticians that maybe aren't where you might go in for a facial
