favorite albums of the year.

The album that I've listened to most,

it might be my favorite album in 2018.

That record carried me throughout this whole year,

I listened to it more than any other.

Nobody's talking about it, nobody's knowing about it.

Greg you can't be a card-carrying music critic without keeping a list from January through now the records

that are in contention for your year and best of.

We're going to also hear for some listeners. I think a lot of people who love

sound opinions do the same thing. Some of our staff as well. Greg, I'm going to

kick things off. John Prine released an album called The Tree of Forgiveness. He was a guest on sound opinions. We had more fun doing that interview than many in our years of doing this show. I have always admired John Prine. I have never been a super fan. This album

prompted me to dig deep into the catalog. We were prepping to chat with him.

Just so much phenomenal stuff.

And I really went on about a four or five week long John Prine kick.

But this album is a really fascinating one capping his career I think much the way

Leonard Cohen did in 2016 with You Want It Darker which is also an album we love
