What would you have described your purpose as before if somebody stopped you and said,

hey, what's your purpose in life?

I think I would have been very hard pressed to answer that.

It was not something I'd ever thought about.

I honestly probably could have eye rolled at the question.

Because to me, it's like, I'm just surviving.

I'm just figuring it out.

Like purpose, I don't know what my purpose is I

honestly don't know it never would have dawned on me that I could have a purpose Hey there's Light Watkins your host of At the End of the Tunnel which is a

podcast that features the backstories of people who have found their purpose with both

large and small causes and they're now using their platform or their voice or their art or their social media in a way that leaves the world a better place.

And my guest today is Jordan Taylor, who I met during the pandemic, and it's interesting because I literally watch Jordan go

through the process of discovering her purpose and then doing something about it because like many

people who were stuck at home Jordan became reflective.

She had had a career in music and then she worked in real estate and she was very good at those things but she said that she lacked a sense of purpose.

She wasn't fulfilled.

She started volunteering with a man named Joseph Bradford who you all may remember from episode 47.

So Joseph was the one man food bank who started a nonprofit called the Bear Truth,

which provides supplies and food and transitional housing to people who are living without

homes.

Well, Jordan started volunteering with Joseph down on Skid Row in Los Angeles,
