Hello welcome to the Two Robbies podcast.

Generally this podcast is about football, but given the current climate here in the US and around the world, football is simply not what's important right now.

We're going to focus on larger issues. We feel it's

necessary to discuss the importance of the events taking place around the country and the world

and how they're affecting the game, particularly in England and Germany. We'll discuss that a little later on with

Bunnaziga inside a Yanaga-Feutoft. But first Robio, sadly my friend, we've had this conversation now,

whether it's on this podcast show, whether it's in our studio shows with Rebecca, too many times.

Just wanted to check in with you, see how you are, and what's been on your mind over, you know, events of the last couple of

weeks. It's been difficult time, Rob, in all honesty, and I know our viewers and listeners

wouldn't know and something private between

the self but you sending me a text this week just to see that was okay and that has

been something that 15 20 people have done, just checking in.

Because this felt different, not, for a person of colour in this country.

You know me, I'm upbeat about everything, the glass is off,

is always off full.

But my spirit's been a little bit dampen this week by what's

going on and it's the first time in this country that I felt a vulnerability that I

might not be safe and secure My son who was a black man living in New York might not be safe and secure in this place.

I tell you, an interesting what, maybe, probably about a week ago, I was out one evening I usually take my

dogs out to my little bit of free time and I do a few checks and window shop and go around

my neighborhood and I remember walking out with the dogs and a police call came past me Rob and I've got to be honest my heart started bumping and I started to think to myself

Geez what if what if it and my what if it is slightly challenged by, is a person of color with
