What are the most important criteria when you're screening tenants for your rental property?

In this episode, we're going to talk about tenant screening.

And this is a common challenge, a common question.

And rightfully so, because screening tenants is one of the most important things you can do

to ensure your success

and pretty much your peace of mind as a landlord of rental property.

And this could be whether you're doing it yourself as a self-managed rental or whether

you're giving instructions to your property managers, which you can do, by the way.

You should have a conversation with them about what you want your

criteria to be, and then they will execute that. They'll be the ones who talk to tenants and screen

them. And so I want to first of all say that I have a longer list of criteria. I'm going to try

to boil it down to probably if I had to narrow it down to the top three criteria, the most

important to me.
