Summary

This week, Krista is joined by Ellie Laks, Founder of the Gentle Barn, a place where animals can find rehabilitation and sanctuary, and humans can open their hearts to the magic of animals. Ellie tells the miraculous story of her journey starting Gentle Barn, which began when she was just seven years old. Ellie withstood the pressures of her family’s disapproval, divorce, financial ruin, and harrowing self doubt until she found the law of attraction and began to fully trust herself and the Gentle Barn’s mission. Now Ellie understands that her deep sensitivity and empathic nature are her greatest gifts, and she explains how she’s been able to nurture and share those talents with the world.  If you are someone who is second guessing your unique purpose in this life, let Ellie be your source of inspiration to trust that little voice in the back of your mind. The road isn’t always easy, but you were born to do what you love.  We also talk about: Compassion fatigue Reconnecting with woman’s intuition Doing big work and being a sensitive person Protecting your energy Letting go of attachments Denying your gifts The role of trauma in finding purpose Affordable self care practices Self abandonment Learning how to receive Cows + the importance of rest When partners don’t support your dream Empaths + their connection to animals Veganism + feminism  Resources:  Website: www.gentlebarn.org Website: www.ellielaks.com  @thegentlebarn on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube @ellielaks on Facebook and Instagram Book: My Gentle Barn: Creating a Sanctuary Where Animals Heal and Children Learn to Hope by Ellie Laks of Gentle Barn Sponsors: Seed | Go to Seed.com/ALMOST and use code 25ALMOST to get 25% off your first month.  SKIMS | SKIMS bras are now available at SKIMS.com.
