According to the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion research organization, 66 U.S. clinics no longer offer abortion in the wake of the Dobbs' decision just about 100 days ago.

In response, NPR quoted a Georgia OBGYN, Dr. Nisha Verma, who recently spoke to a White House task force,

quote, I've had teenagers with chronic medical conditions that make their pregnancy high

risk, and women with highly desired pregnancies who receive a terrible diagnosis of a fetal

anomaly. Both cry when they learn they can't receive their abortion in our state and beg me

to help them, end quote. Or either Dr. Verma doesn't understand the law or the situations are not as she described.

As Alexandra DeSancta shared in the National Review, abortion is allowed in Georgia for both of Dr. Verma's reasons,

if a medical emergency exists and if the pregnancy is medically futile.

While 66 clinics are no longer providing abortion, pregnancy resource

centers continue to do their important work. In fact, Kerenet shows approximately 70 centers in Georgia
