Summary

For a few years now I have walked you all through building Summer Bucket Lists. I love that a number of you have taken on this tradition with your families. It is such a fun and meaningful tradition.   When I told Vinnie I was going to record an episode on Summer Bucket Lists, he lit up. “Mom, it’s time to make ours!!” I asked him if he had any advice for all the Shameless Moms who are getting ready to make their Summer Bucket Lists and he told me, “You should put a lot of fun things on your list.”   So, FUN is the official #1 rule of Summer Bucket Lists.  In this episode I walk you through why Summer Bucket Lists are so special and meaningful as a family tradition. Then, I share a few (very loose) rules for building your Summer Bucket List. Lastly, I give you 3 steps/categories to use when creating your Summer Bucket Lists: Old Traditions New Adventures Soul Nourishment (This one is just for you, mama. You’re welcome.) After you listen to this episode, please create your Summer Bucket Lists and share them to inspire other mamas to make theirs. And make sure to tag me @shamelessmomacademy so I can see all the FUN you are planning this summer. (Don’t forget the FUN.) Hello, Shameless moms. Happy Monday. So happy to be here with you. And I'm going to give you a quick

0:57.6

little update. The last time I recorded, so the episode that went live last week on Monday for

1:02.0

Mother's Day, I had told you that COVID had hit her house. It had not yet hit me very shortly after

1:07.5

that recording it hit me. So by the time this goes live, hopefully it will be

1:12.5

all the way out of me. But yes, our family has spent the last. We're on day nine, I believe,

1:19.6

since we got our first, no, day eight since we got Vinny's positive. But anyway, Vinnie got it,

1:27.3

I got it. Somehow my husband did not get it. And because

1:30.5

he's not in his office right next door to me, like he usually is, I can just tell you all this.

1:34.3

Because I know I know you all appreciate this. As soon as Vinny got the positive, my husband

1:38.9

immediately told me that he had brain fog. And he assumed that he was also positive. And so for like three days, a solid

1:48.1

three days, he was very certain that the COVID was imminent for him. And he kept taking testing

1:54.9

negative, negative, negative on rapid tests. He went and took a PCR. And I totally thought so too.

1:59.5

I was like, it's going to be positive. I mean, at this point, Vinnie and I had both gotten positive. So I was like, dude, it's going to be

2:03.8

positive. Like the brain fog is real. It was negative. And somehow with that negative, the brain fog

2:09.3

magically lifted. And I just know that all of you who have husbands can relate to illnesses that

2:16.2

come and go by mere suggestion. So I will leave it at that. But I did

2:21.4

have a good time giving him a hard time about that, which he did not really appreciate.
