who is the first writer to ever have two books, win both the Hugo and Nebula awards.

Her novels include The Left Hand of Darkness, about an alien world on which gender is both temporary

and fluid, a Wizard of Earth Sea, about a brash

young wizard who unwittingly unleashes a great evil, and the lathe of heaven about a scientist

who attempts to remake the world, using a man whose dreams become reality.

Okay, so first of all, it's been reported that some of the protesters at Occupy Oakland have been carrying

shields in the image of books, including your novel The Dispossessed.

Just how do you feel about that?

Terrific.

I am proud and happy that a book and actually a book printed quite a long time ago now is still making some waves and being of some use to people thinking about this stuff.
