to talk me about it because I felt like I

had this obligation to serve my family

and to make them proud and to do what is expected of me as I had

done my whole life up to that point. Hey there it's Light Watkins. I'm the host of At the End of the Tunnel which is a

podcast that features the backstories and

artists and people who are out there using their platform or their voice to leave

the world better than how they found it which is not an easy thing to do in a world that seems to be hyper-focused

on making as many profits as possible for much of the time.

But that's my intention with these interviews is to introduce you to people who are going above and beyond all of that to make a difference and it often starts with them breaking with convention and blazing a path of their own.

My guest this week started a movement called Culinary Alchemy, where

she advocates for functional nutrition in your diet. She is a trained chef and a Reiki master,

and she's also got a thriving media platform,

which I've been featured on,

where she also highlights change makers

who are making the world better.

Her name is Chef Serena Poon, and what makes Serena's story so fascinating to me is her why.

She grew up in an immigrant family, and her father, who loved to cook cook was diagnosed with cancer and she began

scouring around for alternative and natural cures he unfortunately ended up

passing away at the young age of 48.
