say that, those lines in front of me for me listening to them so often, listening to your podcast.

I still have to write them down. I still haven't remembered them. You've not memorized them yet.

Such is my memory. I've been reading loads of great things about your book. Tell me about Beatles 101.

Well, that's a delight to hear.

I mean, it was just something that I did on a whim, actually, which is quite strange.

And it's always, it just sort of baffles me every time somebody reads it and tells me that they like it.

You know, I've worked in publishing for a long time,

but to be part of it from the other side as an author has been quite strange.

Yeah, what drove you to write it?

As I say, I've worked in publishing for a while,

and I used to work with a guy who has started his own publishing company and within his publishing

company it's called Polaris. They mostly do sports books but they're branching out into popular

culture books as well and he has a series of books called 101. So there was like rugby, Scottish rugby

101, all that kind of stuff. And we were, you know,

just chatting at Frankfurt Book Fair as you do. Where else? And he was just like, when are you

going to write me a Beatles book? And I just sort of laughed in his face because I've never written a book
