0:44.3	on your podcast today. It's great. It's fortuitous that we met because I was at AMSPA and roaming
0:49.3	through the exhibit hall and I saw his booth and it was very cute, nice booth and also very interesting.
0:56.1	I said platelet derived growth factors. Now that is novel and new to aesthetics. So I know that
1:02.6	you've got a doctorate of medical science from Harvard and Southern Illinois University. And
1:08.5	you have been actually working with platelet drive growth factors
1:11.8	in the orthopedic world for a very long time. So tell me a little about your background. You're
1:16.7	definitely a biotech pioneer and interestingly he's IPOed a business for over a billion dollars
1:22.5	on NASDAQ. Yeah. So he's done the rounds. I have. So I started out as a scientist, as you said. I actually spent 10 years in the labs at Harvard, which is where a lot of the early discovery work was done on growth factors, all kinds of growth factors. I've worked with all the major growth factors in my career, but then
1:45.0	transitioned over into industry because I really had a passion for translational medicine,
1:51.7	bringing discoveries from the lab to patients, to help our patients do better.
1:57.7	It takes too long for that to happen these days. I feel like people who are on the
2:02.1	cutting edge have to wait 10 to 15 years for products to leave the lab, get fully bedded,
2:07.2	studied, FDA approved, and then finally in the hands of a primary care doctor or internist.
2:11.8	I couldn't agree more. You know, it took us 10 years to develop, as you mentioned, the orthopedic products that contain the recombinant platelet
2:23.2	derived growth factor. It took us several more years to get FDA approval for the oral maxil facial
2:29.0	surgery products that contain the recommant platelet derived growth factor. So altogether, it was nearly $100 million.
