Oh, lost an hour last night, shaved off my life.

You know, I wonder if when I die I'm in the situation of having an extra hour

or having an hour stolen.

It may not be my last thought, but it'll probably be in there.

So I hope you are. Looks like our connection was lost. What does it say? A way back.

So I wanted to mention, I think it was Friday night. I had an impressive tangle with a listener who was manipulative and defensive and avoidant, and that pisses me off.

Now, the fact that I'm pissed off doesn't mean anything foundational.

It doesn't mean that I was right. It doesn't mean the other person was wrong. But, and I see we do have a request to talk.

We'll talk in just a sec. I need to get this off my chest. Well, I don't need to. I choose I want to get

this off my chest first and foremost. So why is it that sophists are so annoying? Why is it that for me,

out of totally for me, and maybe it validates the emotions, maybe I'm just petty. But,

hey, trust me, it's always a possibility. So why is it that it angers me so much when people say, hey, man, I'm really into philosophy.

And what's really important in philosophy is the third way of Platonism.

Maybe Platonism was affirming things that were positive and true.

Maybe Plato was a nihilist who wished to erase everything that could be true, or maybe there's a third way.

And I view people like that, and I'm not saying anything about this person's mindset,

because I don't read intentions. Intentions are a form of mysticism, and intentions are always

the first defense of a frightened child. Right. You knock over a lamp, your dad comes in, angry.

It is the first offense of a frightened child, and when people think that it is a valid

thing to say in an intense debate, well, that wasn't my intention, it means that they're
