Welcome back to another episode of the London is blue podcast, the only podcast talking about a club that are the mine series champions.

That's right Dan, one of your hosts here alongside Nick, you've heard already Brandon still off doing some family stuff this weekend, but Joe tweeds with us as well.

Gentlemen, they'll never sing that.

They'll never sing that mine series champions.

Tana Mnarson will never sing that.

So how are we feeling about that Joe?

Yeah, I mean, this is one of the problem moments I think in the club's history in terms of this here.

I mean, I think on a serious note, I like the fact that we've done this for I think a very worthwhile charity.

I think that is something we obviously need to need to focus on.

But in terms of the fact that Tottenham and Astle won't even have a preseason trophy to brag about, which you know, the Emirates Cup was always the big, the big sort of showcase event for Astle fans these days.

The fact that we've kind of stolen the mine series, we're buying a player to Tottenham can't actually even buy somebody.

It's a nice little kind of start to the season.

I like the way things are starting off here.

You could say that as winners of the mine series and clearly the best team in London, we've been living rent free for a long time and this solidified it.

I do find, however, the fact that Chelsea plays an indoor behind closed doors, friendly yesterday, inner squad, this is now the fact that we've won it is coming after that, which is funny.

Because really it's against ourselves, Dan. We're really playing against ourselves in this competition. It's no one else.

Yeah, would we beat ourselves and we didn't do that, which is great.

But look, that is done. That is over. That is in the past because we need to focus on what we're going to be talking about in this episode is the fact that Chelsea already have the first true silverware on the line.

Look, we don't we don't love preseason trophies, but the super cup, the UEFA super cup, which faces the Champions League and Europa League winner squaring off head to head to start the international season is taking place this coming Wednesday.
