What's up, heroes?

It's me, your host, and dying God, Dylan, back with another episode of One Shot, with a new game and a new guest.

This week we are playing Deify, a mythical solo role-playing game

by Ali D'Antonio through Dover Publishing. I didn't play it solo though because I found out

fairly recently that my very dear friend and roommate, incredibly esteemed game designer and

games educator Veditia Vallettietti has never played a solo RPG.

And I love solo RPGs. So I was like, I'm going to hold your hand through one so you can get a little taste.

And this particular book has been sitting on my shelf taunting me with its hauntingly beautiful art for months, so I figured I'd finally crack into it.

This game tells the story, or helps you tell the story, of a god from its inception and creation,

all the way to its decline and eventual death, and uses a tarot deck to inspire the journey along the

way. We also decided to play this game within the

universe that we have previously created during our recent playthrough on one shot of a land

once magic, which you should absolutely, totally listen to if you haven't yet. Because we both loved

that session so, so much, we wanted to flesh out the world a little bit more with an additional

game. And I love the realities that this God and its existence within that world added to the

game that we already played, and I hope that you enjoy our little brainstorm. Welcome to the studio, Medea Fuletti.
