fairly heavy. We're going to be talking about suicidal thoughts, impulses, and

attempts. Even though our goal is obviously to help, especially people who are struggling with these

feelings, we urge you not to listen if you feel that this episode might trigger you or

if you're currently in crisis. Instead, reach out to

someone you can confide in and let them know what you're going through.

Another content note, rather than a comedic monologue, I'll be opening this episode with a short story,

which is fairly lengthy, so if you're not interested in hearing that story,

you can skip right to the interview at about 25 minutes in. With all that out of the way

one or two caveats about the story you're going to hear. It does refer to a

turned-off screen as a black mirror and I'll have you know that I wrote this story when I was 19 years old in 2005

Far predating the show Black Mirror the same year in fact that I wrote a suicide note of my own,

which I never acted on or showed anyone.

I'm not sure what that means, but I guess I don't have to be.
