Williamson today Mary Ann is talking about a subtle shift that we can make

when it comes to the way that we perceive our circumstances the conditions of

our lives the people who show up in our lives and the problems that

present themselves to us here's Mary Ann you know I was giving a talk in a

bookstore and before I went in I asked the proprietor well what should I talk

about he said I think you should talk about the fact that we all try so hard

but it's so difficult to live a spiritual life we try so hard but it's so

difficult and I thought to myself no we don't we tell ourselves we do if you're

not meditating really meditating and I don't mean just relaxing in the bathtub

I mean a serious spiritual practice whether it's the workbook of the

course of miracles or any other every day if we're not asking ourselves at the

end of every day who am I still holding agreements towards who was I not as

kind to today as I could have been the course of miracle says only what you

are not giving can be lacking in any situation you know in what situation am I

blaming it and making it about other people not taking responsibility for my

part where am I not showing mercy you know I heard two colleagues the other day

going after each other they're both like they know everything there is to

know about principle and they're just in this thing with each other and I
