Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. We are rounding out with

read the scripture and then Tories going to read the Devo. Let's do it. The scripture is Romans

chapter 12 verse 11 and it says this, never be lazy but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

The devotional is titled keep going and this plan we've looked at the core habits of following

Jesus. We engage the Bible meaning here from God. We speak to God and we worship and we belong

by joining God's people. Other habits are helpful but the three core habits matter most. They're

like playing scales on the piano or shooting baskets and basketball. Besides playing scales or

shooting baskets, you need different skills but you never outgrow these basic practices.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed, it's helpful to return to these core habits. They're foundational.

We'll never outgrow them. You've worked hard to build and practice your habits this week.

The goal, you will make these habits a regular part of your life from now on. So here are some tips

for moving forward. One, practice the clean slate policy. When you get behind, miss a day or

discover what doesn't work for you, wipe the slate clean and start again. Two, pursue progress

not perfection. Consistency, it matters more than doing it perfectly. Three, shrink the challenge.

If you're not practicing the habit, chances are you've set a bigger goal than the time and energy

you have available. Try shrinking the task until you're 90% sure you can do it. Four, keep going.
