We start with new developments on President-elect Donald Trump's transition.

His right-wing allies are pushing him to nominate Cash Patel as FBI director.

It's one of the clearest indications the President-elect plans to stick by his vow to fire current director Christopher Ray before his 10-year term ends and replace him with a loyalist.

Trump nominated Ray in 2017 after firing James Comey, but changed his attitude about Ray before he left office in 2021.
