The Israeli military is urging Palestinian civilians in parts of Northern and Southern Gaza to evacuate as it

continues its military operations. It's unclear how many people are aware of

the evacuation orders given the lack of Internet and mobile service in much of Gaza.

Thousands of people hadn't fled during previous orders for fear of being killed or enduring winter conditions without shelter.

But the Palestine Red Crescent Society says about 8,000 people have been evacuated from its headquarters,

an Alamel hospital in Han Yunus.

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General has appointed a group to conduct an independent review on UNRWA, the UN's main agency in

Gaza that provides humanitarian assistance for Palestinians. The UN is already

conducting its own internal investigation. Israel alleges that some UNRWA personnel were involved in Hamas's terror attacks on October 7th.

UNRWA has since fired several employees and a growing number of countries including the U.S.

have temporarily stopped funding the organization.

Southern California is being battered with massive slow-moving storms, with the threats shifting to San Diego this evening,

but residents will be feeling the impacts far beyond the bad weather.

That's because many homeowners insurance policies in the state don't cover flood damage.
