The families of hostages held in Gaza celebrated the ceasefire agreement that will free 33 hostages in the enclave

by gathering in Hostages Square in Tel Aviv. CNN captured video showing crowded streets of people cheering, jumping, clapping, and waving

the Palestinian flag in Gaza.

We are so, so happy, a very big surprise for the Palestinian people and the whole world.

As part of the deal, Israeli hostages will be released in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian

prisoners, and some civilians will be allowed to return home.

Qatar's Prime Minister says the agreement will go into effect on Sunday, and that there will

be a quote, follow-up mechanism to ensure all parties stick to the plan.

In a speech from the White House, President Joe Biden said the road to an agreement wasn't easy.

This is one of the toughest negotiations I've ever experienced.

However, on Truth Social, President-elect Donald Trump took a victory lap.

The Biden administration praised Trump's team for participating in the negotiations.

But Biden replied, quote, is that a joke when asked who deserved credit for the deal?
