Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck, with the five things you need to know

for Wednesday, May 29th. Today, seven men and five women

are expected to start deliberations over whether to convict a former US

president for the first time in history.

When the jurors in Donald Trump's hush money case returned to court this morning,

they'll be guided through instructions from the judge,

and then they'll be sent out to start discussing their decision.

It could take hours, it could take days, but whatever they decide may shape the outcome of the

2024 election.

Yesterday both sides laid out their closing arguments, with a defense trying to discredit

the star witness Michael Cohen and convince the jury that they can't convict Trump based

on the testimony of a man they describe as the greatest liar of all time.

The prosecution argued that with or without Cohen, they've presented enough evidence that

Trump committed 34 counts of business fraud to cover up hush money payments and influence the 2016 election.

US-Made Munitions were used in Sunday's deadly strike on Arafa tent camp.
