November 13th. Republican lawmakers are voting to choose their House and Senate leaders today.

The three senators vying for Senate majority Leader made their case yesterday during a private

two-and-a-half-hour forum.

Senate Minority Whip John Thune and Senator John Cornyn of Texas remain the frontrunners in

the secret ballot elections.

But Senator Rick Scott of Florida has received outside endorsements from President-elect Donald Trump's orbit,

and he was optimistic when he spoke to Fox News.

Here's what I bring to the table.

I clearly believe in the Trump agenda.

The leadership race could take a while to unfold, given its contentious nature,

and some GOP Senators think there could be multiple

rounds of voting. As for the Republican House leadership, Speaker Mike Johnson is expected to be

re-elected, but at least one congressman said he will likely face a challenger.

Trump is in Washington, D.C. today, where he's expected to meet with President Joe Biden

at the White House, as he continues to make selections for his second administration.
