People in Gaza have been celebrating the ceasefire and hostage deal between Israel and Hamas,

but for many, it comes with mixed feelings.

I'm filled with hope and pain, pain for all that we've lost,

for our loved ones and friends and family and neighbors,

and hope for the return of Gaza, for the return of our homes.

The three-phase deal is expected to start at some point on Sunday, with the first phase set

to last six weeks. During that time, Hamas and Allied militant groups will release 33 hostages, and Israel

will release a thousand Palestinian prisoners, who were arrested on October 8, 2022,

but weren't involved with the attack on Israel the day before.

Until then, though, the fighting is continuing, and according to the Gaza Civil Defense,

Israeli attacks on Gaza City killed at least

45 people in the hours after the deal was announced. A senior U.S. official said the agreement

was brokered with a, quote, almost unprecedented level of cooperation between the outgoing Biden
