A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has taken effect in Lebanon, in a deal that will potentially end more than a year of fighting that has killed thousands.

The agreement would bring a 60-day halt to hostilities, and during

that time, Hezbollah fighters are expected to retreat 25 miles from the Israel-Lebanon

border. Israeli ground forces would need to withdraw from Lebanon completely.

In Lebanon this morning, state media is reporting that traffic has been building up as displaced

residents start returning home. But Israel's military has warned people not to return to southern

Lebanon, where it still has troops deployed. Meanwhile, a senior Biden administration official

says there's a belief this deal has the potential to be a, quote, game changer to revive

negotiations with Hamas. And President Joe Biden says the U.S. will push for a ceasefire in Gaza

in the coming days.

Just as the Lebanese people deserve a future of security and prosperity, so do the people

of Gaza. They too deserve an end of the fighting and displacement.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his country won't stop that war until it finishes its goals.

Today could be the best weather for some last-minute Thanksgiving travelers, but it'll be very busy at airports.

Both the east and west are expecting dry, calm and largely sunny weather during the day,

before a storm system will move through the central US tonight and could create slick conditions

for anyone heading off early tomorrow morning. Today is expected to be one of the busiest days at the airports,

and there are still concerns about slowdowns because of a shortage of air traffic control staff.

Meanwhile, AAA says more than 71 million people will go on a road trip over Thanksgiving,

in part because gas prices are low. As President-elect Donald Trump is promising massive tariffs for goods entering the U.S. from

Mexico and Canada, it's got a lot of people concerned about what it could mean for everyday
