Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck. With the five things you need to know for Wednesday, November 22nd.

The Israeli government has approved a hostage deal with Hamas in what the Palestinian

president has described as a humanitarian truce.

Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the agreement but has continued to push for a full ceasefire.

The breakthrough deal puts in place a four-day pause in fighting and will see the release of at least

50 women and children held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.

Hamas says 150 Palestinian prisoners will be released from Israeli jails as part of the deal.

The Israeli government says a detailed statement will be sent to the hostages families,

many of whom are now anxiously waiting to find out if their loved ones will be on the list of people

set to be released. Anat Moshe Shosho'Shawani's grandmother was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th,

and she says the deal gives her hope.

I think and believe that every soul that we can save from there

is essential for us because even if my grandmother won't be among those people and I

obviously hope she will be but even if she's not I just can't wait to see the picture of the children of the innocent people going out from there after so many days.

Today's expected to be one of the busiest travel days for the Thanksgiving holiday.

AAA estimates more than 55 million people will be on the roads and in the skies.

In what it says could be the busiest period in several years.
