The FBI is investigating an apparent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and a man has been detained.

Authorities say shots were fired yesterday at Trump International Golf Course in South Florida

while Trump was playing around. Her Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel sticking

out of a fence and engaged the person. The man then ran away and got in his car,

before he was stopped on the highway and law enforcement found an

AK-47 style rifle in the bushes at the golf course. But the man wasn't armed when he was

arrested.

CNN's Evan Perez has more on what we know about the man detained in connection with the incident.
