0:13.7	debate over the new Republican tax bill, I hope that you brought, you know, it's not even really a
0:18.6	question of popcorn because it's quite frankly not actually entertaining because it could be such a disaster. What I want to focus in on
0:25.6	today is that the debate that went on over the weekend, the debate that's going on today as we're
0:31.6	kind of building towards some final vote as to whether this tax bill is going to pass.
0:36.8	It is theater.
0:38.2	And I want to tell you about all of the theater around the debate to really understand.
0:44.0	You could call it a sham or a scam or both.
0:46.4	I don't know.
0:47.4	Now I want to be clear in what I am saying and in what I'm not saying here.
0:50.6	I don't mean that in this debate, senators aren't, I don't know, advocating for what
0:56.6	they believe in, for example. But in about five different ways, this entire thing is a scam and a sham.
1:05.6	And it's important to understand this so that when you talk to people who, by the way, a lot of
1:10.3	people aren't even
1:10.9	paying attention to what's going on, even though this is going to affect, do their loved ones
1:16.1	retain benefits that they are entitled to?
1:19.9	Benefits that for many people are the difference between I can have health care or I can't.
1:26.2	I can have food for my family or I can't.
1:29.1	So we need to be armed to tell people what's going on.
1:32.8	The first scam is that at the top line, the numbers are fake.
1:37.9	They're just the White House is pushing this and Republican, most Republicans are pushing
1:42.3	this as a responsible pro growth fiscally
