I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent.

My guest today is extra fun. We have known each other for over 20 years, if you can believe it.

Angie Elkins is a musician, a worship pastor's wife,

mom of three, and a podcaster of the fantastic show, chatology. I've talked about it on here before,

and she and I go way back to seminary where we were both students and on the side to help support

ourselves, makeup artists together for clinic. So fun. She's a fiery

enneagram 8, just like me. And recently she was telling me about her five-word prayer, and I loved

it so much, I asked her to share it with you on this show. So with no further ado, here's my

friend, Angie Elkins.

A few years ago, I went on an audition at Disney.

See, I'm a singer, and I've been singing my whole life.

I actually have a master's degree in music, so when I moved to Orlando and was encouraged by more than a few people to audition at Disney, I thought, sure, why not? That'll be fun. I walked into that

open call casting audition with a lot of confidence. But as soon as I saw the room full of over

100 women dressed in their A-line skirts and character shoes, my confidence faded like a handful of pixie dust.

I waited my turn, sang my prepared 16 bars, and guys, I walked out of that room with a callback.

I had just gotten a callback at Walt Disney World for a singing role.

My confidence was flying high like Tinkerbell.

The next day, as I went in to sing for the callbacks, I was called upon several times to sing.

It was an all-day process where they make cuts

throughout the day. But guess what? I made it to the end of the day and I was the last alto standing.
