Hi, and welcome to Five Word Prayers Daily, a five-day-a-week daily devotional where we share the

word, prayers, and our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me,

which I trust and pray will be five minutes well spent. I have a question for you today. What do you do

to help strengthen your belief in God? Now think about that for a minute. You

might not have thought about this a lot, but what you believe about something, your mindset and the way

your heart buys in, is developed typically over time. If you love God and believe in God,

but sometimes in the daily life struggle with belief and trust in

things he can or will do, this show is for you.

The truth is a lot of us struggle with trusting and believing God, and it's a tough thing to

dive into for just five minutes.

But 2 Corinthians 5-7 gives us the key to living confidently in life when it says we are to live

by believing and not seeing.

Lately when I've been speaking, I've been using the storm analogy when I talk about life

because life feels so very stormy so often.

And I say this a lot.

Don't go on what you see because if all we see is our stormy life, we're going to panic and fear.

The storm will blind us to God's power every single time.

But if we believe God that he has this and he has

us, we live steady and strong. And so people say amen and they get this idea, but then they say,

okay, but how do I believe God? How do I, to stay true to the water and stay afloat in the midst of a stormy life

analogy, how do I buoy my belief in God? So I talked to God about this and I asked him for wisdom

in this and this is what he showed me, which by the way, is in my book, put your warrior boots on as
