A long day at the Texas Capitol.

Lisa Brady, Fox News, as the state house debates redistricting for a vote on new congressional

maps that was delayed by the recent walkout by state Democrats.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton tells Fox he plans a court fight to vacate those seats.

Our argument is very simple.

They abandoned their office.

These are 13 legislators that came out publicly and said we're not coming in. We're not going to be

doing our job right now. We're out of the state. And so they made it very public.

Those legislators are now back in planning their own lawsuits arguing the new maps violate

the Voting Rights Act. The redistricting is aimed at helping

Republicans win more seats in Congress prompting California to launch a counter effort for Democrats.

A migrant trucker charged in a deadly Florida crash will be sent back to Florida from California.

Governor Ron DeSantis sending his lieutenant governor there.

And tomorrow morning he is going to take possession of this illegal alien,

extradite him back to the state of Florida, and we're going to throw the book at him when he gets back here.

The US DOT says when its crash investigators tested, sings English proficiency, the driver failed the assessment,

providing correct responses to just two of 12 verbal questions and only accurately identifying

one of four highway traffic signs.
