This is the Bamao podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brent Billings. Today we explore the shortest profit in TNOC, the book of Obadaya, Ovaja, and its condemnation of the nation of a dome for their lack of care for their brother and their neighbor.

Ovaja, Obadaya, another good profit. Good stuff. It's probably why you made the cut, right? Probably. We have a presentation for you today. If you want to pull it up, it's going to be a little useful. While they do that, let's review.

Well, everybody goes to pull up the presentation. We had four pre-assurian profits. We had, who do we have, Brent? We had Amos and Hosea. What were their images? Plum line and right fruit for Amos and prostitute for Hosea. What about the two Judah profits for Priusaria? Mike and First Isaiah with the images of a judge and a vineyard respectively. Perfect. And we have four profits in the Assyrian time period. We had Jonah.

And Jonah's image was potential. And Nahum. Dean. Dean. Hebrew word for a pronouncement of justice. Maybe a little bit more rich, not truly, but maybe more

more, what's the other word for justice, Brent? Mishpot. And that's what kind of justice? That is distributed.

Distributed putting everything in its right place. Bringing Shalom. Okay. And then we had two Judah profits for the Assyrian time period.

We had Zephaniah. Yep. And his image was Shuvah. Shuvah. As in return. Yeah. And then we had Second Isaiah with the image of, whoa, perfect.

And then we are working our way through which time period? Now we're in the Babylonian profits. Babylonian profits. Okay. My turn. Jeremiah was a weeping profit.

Lamentations was an alphabetic chastikacrostic, which at the center of that its image is this combination of lament and hope like the whole book gives us space for lament and grief. But the center of the chiasm, the buried treasure is this. Really, it's not even a sprinkling. It's this buried treasure.

This nugget of hope sitting right in the middle of the book. It's like Aladdin in that giant, what a fantastic image. The giant staircase with lamp and a little spotlight. Yeah. I'm a big fan of any Aladdin references that we can use. Sure. One of my favorite Disney movies.

By the way, we just had this discussion with some members from Bayma Tacoma. Not on the map, but they exist nonetheless. And let's see here. We're talking about the map. Yeah. I know. Right. Love you know about that.

And then we had we were talking about greatest Disney movies, little little Bayma PS, little Bayma side note here, Brent, Famine, like your favorite Disney movie. What is it?

Mine is beauty in the beast. Is it really that's fantastic?

Well, why? I just I just love it. Okay. I don't think we have time to get into it. Okay. Good. We can make this. We can make this a whole different kind of Bayma podcast. We could start critiquing Disney movies. We could. We could. My favorite has to be Aladdin. I mean, there are better like deeper, more profound like Lion King's pretty. That's pretty great. But I'm but Aladdin for me to spend like the most entertaining. You can't beat Robin Williams. The guy was just incredible. Oh, Aladdin is certainly up there. Man. Pretty good. Pretty good. All right.

Well, back to business. That was fun little trip down personal Brent and Marty Lane. There is. Nevertheless. We're talking about we're talking about Ovaja. All right. So we had weeping for Jeremiah's image. We had lament hope for

our lamentations and we had one profit still to go was a profit of who? Well, last week we talked about.

Back. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Disney brain right there. A backup quote unquote last week. Yeah. And we really

didn't do a record that was like 10 minutes ago. That's right. That's right. So we had a I didn't

really spend a lot of time in the image of a back. But was in the title of our show watch tower watch tower watch tower.

We talked about it. Fair enough. Be the image that we have for whenever we do our review for a back. So today, the point is really a

lot of back. Not to be in the watch tower. Yeah, in a sense. Yeah. Yeah. In a sense. However, I like God's God seemed to be a

respecter of a back. It's a good spot. That's true. I like that. There's a part of me that always wants to be the kind of guy who would be
