Hey Chris and everybody just want to talk about something that's been

frustrating me recently. I've been applying for jobs and a lot of these jobs say here

is so-and-so we're family which to me is just a lot of bullshit because it's

like no you're not my family you're not my family members. My family wouldn't

fire me because I can't pass a drug test or because I show up late or because

I'm not being productive. They also wouldn't not bring me on my family that is

because I don't have the right qualifications that are usually relevant once

you get going in the job. So I wish companies would just be honest and say we're

here to make money be productive and sell our little widgets. Hey everybody Chris

here welcome to another edition of tangentially speaking my guess this week is

Hamilton Morris who is a journalist documentary and I believe he had a show

for a while called Hamilton's pharma copia. He's an expert on psychoactive

substances and he's a scientific researcher working on neuro transmitters I

believe and other chemicals that are floating around in the human brain doing

all sorts of interesting things of which we are only vaguely aware. Yeah someone

said I think maybe it was Dennis McKenna talked about how interesting it is

that we talk about drugs as these sort of external elements in the world that

that we ingest and have all sorts of effects on us because we are made of

drugs. I believe his point that the brain is a soup of drugs and so the idea

that we're taking drugs and that that has these effects on us is really

interesting because we are in fact drugs it's kind of like pouring water into a
