Summary

Happy New Year 2016! Today is the first day of a brand new year. You have 8,760 hours this year. How will you make the most of them to enrich your life? This meditation will help you focus on what you want to bring into your life this year as you select a theme for your whole year and apply it to the major areas of your life. I recommend you have a candle and a fireproof dish on hand, as well as two strips of paper and something to write with. I also encourage you to do this meditation outdoors if possible. This is part 6 of a 7-Part Meditations on Joy, Episodes 569-575. As always, you don't have to do the meditation techniques -- they are simply there to help you transition from your busy day to a state of stillness. The techniques also help to calm "monkey mind," when your thoughts continuously interrupt your meditation.
