Summary

In this week’s episode, Bob chats with Erica Kelley, creator and host of Southern Fried True Crime. Born and raised in Tennessee, Erica uses her southern charm to highlight historical and contemporary cases in the deep south. Bob and Erica discuss their mutual experiences working with editor Mike Bussing, what life is like in Tennessee, and the challenges of receiving medical care during COVID-19. After, they take a deep dive into the murder of Belinda Temple in Harris County, TX. In 1999, at 30 years old and 8 months pregnant, Belinda was found murdered in her home. Aspects of the scene led police to suspect a staged burglary-gone-wrong and her husband, David, was eventually convicted of the crime. A few years later, however, a local teenager allegedly confessed to the murder, leaving many unsure of just who was responsible.

1:17.8	days. Is it? Middle Tennessee right outside of Nashville. Yeah. Oh, such a cool area. I like that area a lot.
1:24.2	You ever go over to spend any time over by Gatlinburg and Pigeon
1:28.3	Forge at that area? We went to Pigeon Forge in last or this just past July for a week. I've
1:35.0	had back surgeries. I couldn't do anything fun except go eat and look at nature, but it was fun,
1:40.7	you know. Yeah, I love it there. That's my wife and I.
1:44.2	It's like one of our favorite quick vacations.
1:46.7	So we can drive there in about seven hours and get away.
