but definitely after speaking with David Perlmutter, I did.

And Dr. David D. Perlmutter is an author as well as the former dean of the College of Media

and Communication at Texas Tech University.

But now he is a full-time professor there.

So we've got them all to ourselves in this conversation,

and we speak about the very mysterious disappearance of Jody Hoosentrute from Mason City, Iowa,

on June 27, 1995. And it's a really mysterious disappearance, Lance. You could definitely

call it an abduction, certainly a crime

scene there in the parking lot of her apartment complex where it sure looks like she was abducted

from. So we kind of start there with David and we go over some of the facts. But as we mentioned,

David is big into media and communication.

And so what he really aims to do is sort of go back to the early days of this disappearance

and analyze the media and how it helps or hurts a case. And in this scenario, it's a little
