and 4 extra producer Laura Grimshaw. Hello. Hi. Thank you for having me. I'm very well. Yes, I'm,

you know, sitting in the room that I sit in all the time and talking to be a balancid. But that's fine. You know, I'm very used to that now.

I've got to say, your program dipped my brain in joy, which is the three-part series on Neil Innes, is the best thing I've heard on radio for a long time.

Oh, thank you very much. That's very nice to say. I mean, it's, it was a real, I think

labour of love is probably an understatement. So I, I work with Neil and I knew him and I

adored him. And I was a fan of his before I met him. And I mean, I'll probably go into

this more as we talk about him but

he was very kind and generous and lovely to me very early in my career and sort of feel like I owe him

my career and my life with the advice that he gave me so I um yeah I adore the man and so getting to make a programme that sort of tried to capture some of his joy and his brilliance, it was nice to sort of take time and actually share a lot of his music and a lot of kind of unheard things and troll the archive and get some real kind of unheard, lovely things. Yeah, it was a real kind of honour

and privilege and I'm sort of very grateful to everybody who was involved, particularly to Yvonne's

wife who, you know, shared some lovely stories and was really encouraging while I was making

it sitting again in this room on my own.
