| 0:00.0 | Happy Monday everyone. I am coming at you with a bonus podcast today to talk about my personal experience that I've been having in the last week or so and why I ultimately decided to take a reset week. |
| 0:15.0 | So if you follow me on Instagram, if you're an Evel member, you know that I've been taking a reset week |
| 0:19.6 | for the past five or so days. |
| 0:22.2 | I started kind of Wednesday, Thursday and today's Monday so |
| 0:25.0 | almost done with it but in case you're new around here and you don't know what a |
| 0:28.5 | reset week is a reset week is when you take time off of any kind of taxing exercise for, you know, four to seven consecutive days. |
| 0:40.0 | And during that time, you know, you just move in gentle, enjoyable ways like bike rides, walks, |

| 0:54.4 | enjoyable ways and it's really great to do every 12 or so weeks to avoid plateaus, |
| 1:00.7 | avoid burnout, avoid injuries, and really just keep yourself physically and mentally fresh. |
| 1:07.4 | And the theory is that if you are resistance training consistently, taking a week or so or a few, at least four consecutive days at least, |

| 1:26.0 | some of your type 2 muscle fibers that sometimes can take up to weeks to fully recover. |
| 1:33.9 | So giving yourself, giving your system time |
| 1:36.3 | where you're not really stressing it very much |
| 1:38.3 | or moving in gentle ways, can give your body time |
| 1:41.2 | to catch up and is very efficient at moving you forward. |
| 1:45.0 | If you've ever taken a vacation and you haven't worked out and you're like shocked when you come back to your |
| 1:49.9 | workouts and you're stronger. That's why. |
| 1:52.6 | It's probably because your body has had time |
| 1:54.2 | to recover and catch up. |
