you're about to learn one of the most important life skills ever because we all know what it feels like when we're out and about and we bump into somebody who we've met before but we can't remember their name.

And so what Jim quick is about to show you is how to use a very simple technique to make sure that you never forget another name or another face again. Here's Jim.

Okay, really quick tip right we're going to do this really fast learning like names is as easy as pie P I E.

All right, so if you want to be able to visualize with greater accuracy than pie P I E the first thing I do when I meet somebody this is what I still do to this day is I look at them and I pick a place so P stands for place.

Okay, place because all learning as you learn what we're going to talk about this later today is we sort by our memories by location.

And maybe it's through just survival, you know, we want to we need that way back when you know we didn't really need to memorize numbers for example, but we need what did we need to remember like where the food was where the enemy tribes were.

You know, this our space right.

And in fact, when you forget someone's name after asking what's their name what's the first question you ask.

Where do I know them from right because context, you know, if content is king, then context is the kingdom.

Gary van der Schuch says context is God right and so context creates the meaning right so the first thing I look is for place and specifically I'm looking at the person and I'm looking for something temporary or permanent on the person that stands out.

Alright, so if you look at this gentleman here either mind if Jim Gordon's nice to meet you what's the what sticks out right away glasses right so the place for me is glasses what's his place glasses excellent.

Hi, my name is Jim morning nice to meet you what's the first place.

Hair hair how do you explain her hair.

Short hair so I say short hair great hair right short hair great this gentleman here what's the place mind Jim by the way.

Nathan nice to meet you beard okay so what's this place beard say it out loud because that helps the auditory be called great.

Hi, my name is Jim my name is Anton Anton nice to meet you what's the first thing that pops.

The smile is interesting but what if he's not smiling like when you meet him a little bit later what's the first first the first thing.
