Being on a God assignment doesn't remove you from the reach of evil.

I would submit you that we should not imagine that our future will be like our past.

Change has come to our world and it's accelerating in both its scope and its frequency, the

magnitude. We see expressions of evil growing around us. I believe we'll see equal expressions of moving of the spirit of God.

But to participate, you'll have to be willing to be identified with it.

I believe if you try to stay neutral and hide in the shadows because you're concerned

about the pushback you'll miss the opportunity of participating with the king.

I want to continue. We've been working through this series on clarifying our identity and on this Palm Sunday weekend it seemed appropriate.

This is a day when the church pauses in our annual calendar to remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.

It was a day of great triumph of victory,

perhaps the greatest public celebration of Jesus

that the city of Jerusalem would see until he returns to that city.

It was also a bittersweet day.

It was the day Jesus prophesied over the city that the Romans would build a seat take

and build a siege against them.

That the stones of the city would be torn apart

that their children murdered in the streets.

The God's judgment was coming to the city.
