There's a second thing that creeps in its mediocrity.

I... It's mediocrity. I will probably hurt your feelings by saying this.

But I think there's a shocking level of mediocrity in the Church of Jesus Christ.

I think we tolerate low standards.

It's when you've been captured by glory,

that you're in all of God's glory, that you realize that

every aspect of your calling is holy and you want to do everything within your time, everything

within your ability, everything within your strength to represent God well.

So that somehow, some way, what I do in my particular function would be a window to the glory of God.

How in the world can we have God honoring all-inspiring worship if the worship band is running through the song for the first time 15 minutes before the sermon?

Or before the service?

How? How is that a plan? Stop it. It can't work. There's no way you can

possibly lead people in the way you should lead them. There's no way you can possibly lead people in the way you should lead them.

There's no way you can think about the content of that music and how you are going to

interpret that music in a way that brings the glory of God before them if you're sight reading
