Yeah so I've been a journalist covering science fiction and Star Trek in specific for about 15 years. I've written for places way

back like a Tor.com and more recently for a long time for inverse Dennev Geek

you've seen me interview Anson Mount and Paul Wesley for Esquire.

And then, yeah, in 2022 I published the book Phasers on Stun, how the Making and Remaking of Star Trek

changed the world, which was a contemporary quirky history of the entire franchise,

starting at the beginning and going through now that had kind of an eye towards newcomers and that was

published by Dutton Plume Penguin Random House and they've done my other books

which are the essay collection Luke Skywalker can't read. This was in 2015.

I always get to laugh that title.

Then my most recent book was a history of Dune,

which came out in 2023,

which was called The spice must flow.
