Phil, I think the last time we talked, you were just about ready to head down to Mexico and I think I was as well.

I've seen some of your pictures and some of your videos on your Instagram.

Looks like you guys had another fun year down there.

We did, Jay.

We did indeed.

We, I think the last time we talked, I've had some high hopes to kill some really good bucks and we worked hard and we were able to do it.

There were some times there throughout the season.

I wasn't quite sure how it was going to turn out. But like it normally does, we put in the work and put in the time and it turned out really well.

That's awesome. So just starting from the beginning, I know you had really high hopes and we talked on the podcast when you had gone down there on some earlier scouting trips.

The vegetation and such was really, really thick and lush and you were nervous that it was going to be pretty thick and maybe hard to see those deer.

When you ended up going back down in January, it may be hard to see those deer.

what was the conditions when you arrived?

Well, you, at first, let me back up a little bit and I definitely was worried about how much vegetation there was.

You know, it's kind of a catch-22. You worry about when it's too dry and then you worry about when it's too lush and I guess they're just never happy but we got down there and it it started to

dry up a little bit they had had a couple cold snaps come through and some wind blow through the area that really sucked a bunch of the

moisture out of the grass. However, the vegetation was still really thick. Grass was up

to our chest in certain places and it made it still really

difficult for glassing.
