I'm really excited about having a full conversation finally with you to talk about

Alistair McKenzie's Sharp Park in San Francisco and how there's a fight going on,

trying to keep it open, right?

Well, the thing that is amazing about Sharp Park is the fact that it's still there,

86 years or so after McKenzie conceived it, it's been open for 84 years now.

And what a lot of people may not fully appreciate is when you go back and look at the

historical documents, this is one of the greatest courses McKenzie ever dreamt up.

And the fact that it's been open to the public, accessible, affordable, enjoyed for generations is a true

miracle. And it's fallen into disrepair. There's no question about that. But now we see on the

horizon the prospect of bringing it back to life with public philanthropy, with responsible stewardship. And, you know, Sharp Park is really

part of a larger project to restore habitat for the endangered species that live there and to

keep alive this true community center. This has been such a focal point of life in Pacifica for almost a century now

since 1932 when the course opened. And the communities rallied behind it. Tremendous public support.
