Welcome to the Game Changer Life. I'm Dave Anderson with another intentional mindset minute,

and become more. Here's the topic, loyalty defined. If you look up the word loyal in the dictionary,

it says faithfulness to one's duties and obligations. Now, many times people confuse tenure and seniority with loyalty.

They think because they've been somewhere a long time or with someone a long time,

that that somehow makes them loyal.

I mean, we've all seen employees who've been with us a long time who have stopped working.

They're no longer faithful to their duties and obligations. They quit, but they stay. Or a loyal friend, if you will. But the only time you hear

for them is when they need something. They major in manipulation and have a PhD in demands. Now,

would you call that person loyal? I'd call them something else, but don't use that kind of language in

these episodes. By the way,

make sure that in the areas of your life that you believe you're loyal, whether it's a marriage,

friendship, workplace, or as a teammate, that you are faithful still to your duties and obligations,

and then you're not measuring your own alleged loyalty by the amount of time you put in, but instead on what you are

putting in to that time consistently.
