last week at the age of 93.

What kind of self-respecting film music podcasts would we be without acknowledging the passing

of a true great, a maestro, whose work on cinema and TV included Cool Hand Luke, Enter the Dragon,

The Man from Uncle and of course Mission Impossible. And with that iconic theme in mind, we've dug out

a clip of Lorne Balf, composer and Christopher McCorrie, who joined me to discuss Mission Impossible Fallout together

from a previous episode and there was just a really lovely conversation obviously around

how Lauren approached that theme, you know, that existing theme, the weight of that existing

theme and also how you try and embrace it and make it yours

but then also a beautiful and very lovely story

about seeking out the, not the recognition

but the kind of acceptance of Maestro

about his use of the music
