with cards

with you know some meaning

but that are not particularly

good on paper

and this is not a defense

of this kind of booking and matchmaking

they are more interesting

after the fact

because then at least you have something

concrete to talk about.

I still think we have several indications, one of them very notable, which we'll talk about

really soon, that this was not a wisely put together pay-per-view card for the UFC.

But certainly it was an interesting card with lots of weird shit, which does seem to be sort of a theme for the UFC's increasingly sparing Brazil cards.

And this one just had a sort of atmosphere of weirdness all through.

Some strange officiating, some bizarre fight results, some big upsets.

And all of it capped off, of course, with the triumphant return of post-Jusada

Jose Aldo and a controversial main event between Alessandre Pantosia and challenger Steve

Erseg for the flyweight title.

Yeah, I mean, not a bad night of fights.
