Welcome to the Huntback Country podcast. This is episode number 520 and our guest is Jeff Cayley. I will let Jeff give himself kind of a full

introduction as we get into this conversation. This episode is all about Jeff's experience with

an adventure race called America's toughest race. As you'll hear this is a multi-sport race. Actually has nothing to do with

hunting. So you might be wondering, why do we have Jeff on the show? Why are we having this conversation?

And it's because there are so many lessons and takeaways that we can apply to our adventures

in the outdoors. So much of being a hunter is being a good outdoorsman.

It's being a good adventurer. It's understanding how to operate in the outdoors, when things get

difficult, how to push past previous boundaries, and what mistakes to avoid in the pursuit of a big backcountry hunt.

There's a lot that we can take away from Jeff's experiences, the lessons that he has learned,

and apply them to our pursuit as hunters. I love this conversation and I know that you will

as well. It's a timely one as we are taking off for our annual death hike this week, today, in fact.

We will be hiking the next few days in the Grand Canyon.
